Weekly Favourites

Another week, another set of new favourites. This week was hella busy with midterms and anniversary parties. Which left little time for all my internet surfing. This weeks favourites can be broken down into the “what I listened to on my ride back home”, “procrastination” and “while I was drinking”, feeling free to decide which go where.
Both of these links come straight off Tumblr, which I must say have produced some of the funniest things I have ever seen.

In honour of fall and all things that go with it I tired this recipe for blooming apples and they were amazing.
Yes. Tea has it’s own category.
For starters, I am a huge David’s Tea fan I try and sample and later purchase every tea under the sun so that I can become a tea guru of sorts. And this week, among the many others I bought to try, I was extremely pleased with “Vanilla Orchid”. It’s name is, pretty, it looks nice and the taste is phenomenal. If you haven’t tried it (or David’s Tea in general) make sure and smell it the next time your out and about.
My birthday is next week, in honour of that here is a list of 20 healthy habits to have in your 20’s. http://www.buzzfeed.com/carolynkylstra/healthy-living-habits

Weekly Favourites

Well Happy Sunday, and I must say this week (which is also my reading week) was packed with things to be done and people to see. But I still have a long list of Fall things to be done. Such as these spray painted gourds which will look great in my apartment. Check them out-> http://www.theeverythingsoapblog.com/2013/10/diy-metallic-pumpkins.html
I also plan on DIY’n my own candles this week… we’ll see how that goes. But for now pull on your knitted socks, grab a tea and enjoy my favourites of the week.

Welcome dear SUNday. Warm day of blissful hope and serenity. Day of endings and new beginnings. Day of rest and restoring.

This article on how to create your own instant noodle bowls is not only genius but makes my mouth water every time! I am heading to the Asian market as soon as I am back in the city.

I spend a tremendous amount of time on Buzzfeed surfing through articles and this one fit well with my stylish (albeit mostly closet stylist) side. Obviously since it is sweater weather I am most looking forward to trying out #2 and #3.

I have always been a fan of Pink and City and Colour but man do I love these two together. Rose Ave. is a work of art.

Seriously so in love with these lovely ladies. I kept up with their travels over the summer and now the full episodes are up! These episodes give me the serious giggles.

Canadian Wilderness

So recently I took a three day trip Algonquin which inspired me to created a playlist reflecting the events that unfolded on this trip along with a little insight to the trip:
Day 1.
Well to begin we start on Tuesday morning at 7:00 am where I awoke to rush around my house, scrambling to prepare everything that I had yet to complete along with eating breakfast and such. At 8:30 my friends arrived and we took off on our journey. No lie, I drove the whole 6 hour drive alone, it was long and boring but we got through with the help of loads of coffee and obviously really good tunes. A stop at a horse farm in Midland where me and the girls were invited to ride horses and tour the farm. Back in the car we went, finally arriving at the cottage at like 6:30 pm. Obviously the rest of that evening was spent lazily playing card games and visiting.
Day 2.
This morning we set out to see all of the peaks in Huntsville. Starting with the best view of the town:
Next was shopping, obviously not super exciting since it is outdoor shopping and it was raining on and off all day. After this we returned towards our cottage to check out the other views that we could find. We went exploring looking for any cool things we could find in our limited time in Huntsville. Returning unsatisfied we made our own fun, making s’mores over the wood burner and gambling our treats away. The decision to turn in early was vetoed by The Shining. So a late night it was.

Day 3.
The last day of our little vacation. We awoke to eat breakfast and pack up the car, and back on the road we were. But of course the rain held off until we got on the highway only to start down-pouring from there on. After that stopping was a must, and kissing our little paradise goodbye. It is two days after this little trip and I am still catching up on sleep.

Here’s the playlist:
